Which disposable vape lasts the longest?
There are ways to make your disposable vape last as long as possible, usually to do with your vaping method and simply pacing yourself, but which disposable lasts the longest? The answer depends on the battery used.
Disposable vapes in the UK legally can only contain 2ml of nicotine E-Liquid (nicotine-free E-Liquid has no cap on tank size), so generally, most disposables last for the same amount of time. The only difference is the battery size. Disposable vapes with bigger batteries, the average usually being 460mAh, will last you the longest.
Disposables are often listed with the number of puffs per device, with 600 being the maximum amount you are likely to get from a legal disposable vape in the UK. Outside of the UK and EU though, devices can contain more E-Liquid and larger batteries depending on the regulations.
Can disposable vapes explode?
Incidents of disposable vapes exploding are typically caused by defects in the battery but can also be caused by user error. For example, using a disposable vape with a damaged battery or a device that has been left in/next to extreme heat, can increase the risk of an explosion or fire.
Disposable vapes are single-use products and users should not try to recharge the battery for safety reasons. Before using your disposable vape you should make sure to check that the device is not damaged in any way and when vaping if it becomes too hot to handle then immediately stop using the device as there may be a fault.
It is important to use caution when using disposable vapes and to follow the manufacturer's instructions for use to minimize the risk of harm.
Will disposable vapes be banned?
At the moment, disposable vapes are not banned in the PH and are not specifically banned anywhere where vaping is legal. However, there is a lot of contention currently with governments and various health boards that are talking to ban on disposable vapes.
Just recently, environmental and health groups in the PH have made calls for the government to ban the sale of disposable vapes. The calls have been made with the aim of limiting children’s access to vaping and also limiting the environmental damage of single-use devices. Currently, there has been no news on talks about a ban, but regulations change often so be sure to check government websites for updates.
Are disposables safe?
Generally, disposable vapes are safe so long as they meet legal requirements as this helps limit nicotine strength, amount of E-Liquid, quality and safety. But it is wise to note that most electrical devices should be treated with care as they can potentially become unsafe due to damage or misuse. Vaping itself is widely agreed upon as being much less harmful than smoking, but there is still some harm suggested which is why non-smokers are not advised to vape.
Which disposable vapes should I avoid?
Illicit or illegal disposable vapes should be avoided as these could potentially be unsafe. If you are in the UK, disposable vapes should have no more than 600-650 puffs. Those devices with much higher puff counts are likely to have more E-Liquid than what is legally allowed. This does differ depending on your country so make sure to check your country’s regulations.
You should avoid vapes that are potentially fake or illegal as they can often include harmful ingredients, unsafe batteries or are manufactured in unsafe environments. All of these are unlikely to adhere to the regulations that ensure that vaping products are safe for use. For more information on how to spot fake vapes, check out our article on spotting fake vapes.

Can you recharge disposables?
As mentioned before, disposable vapes are single-use electrical items that are not intended to be recharged. Although there are methods out there that show them being recharged, not only is this potentially hazardous but also has a little reward – after all, even if you could recharge the battery, the tank cannot be refilled with E-Liquid. Unless specified in your product’s information leaflet, disposable vapes should not be recharged.
Can you vape disposables without nicotine?
Yes! Lately nicotine-free disposable vapes have begun to grow in popularity. These differ in several ways, most obviously being that the E-Liquid they are pre-filled with, is nicotine free. Therefore, it will only contain PG (propylene glycol), VG (vegetable glycerin), flavourings and any sweeteners. Nicotine-free disposables tend to offer higher puff counts as the regulations only cover nicotine-containing E-Liquids.
These types of devices are great for those looking to enjoy the flavours of vape whilst cutting out nicotine. For ex-smokers these devices are perfect towards the end of your vaping journey.
How many puffs in a disposable are equal to one cigarette?
Disposable vapes are often equal to a pack of twenty cigarettes – thereby for heavy smokers, one disposable device is likely to last them the day. There’s no true guideline as it differs between devices and even those who vape, but if a 600 puff device is the equivalent of 20 cigarettes, then around 30 puffs would be equal to one cigarette.

What happens if I drop my disposable vape in water?
Unfortunately, if you drop your disposable vape in water then it is likely no longer safe to use. Like any other electrical product exposed to water, the battery can short and no longer provide power. If this happens, please dispose of your device appropriately.
